Piano Adventures Teacher Training — Seminar III
Seminar Instructor: David Andruss, docent, University of Würzburg
This intensive, interactive weekend seminar will focus on the pedagogy and methodology in levels 5 and 6 of the Piano Adventures Basic Piano Method, German Edition.
David Andruss, docent at the University of Würzburg, will take you through a detailed look at the many pieces in both levels and give you some valuable pedagogical tools for your work with students.
In this seminar, you’ll learn how we prepare students for the transition to the intermediate level.
Main topics: more complex scale and cadence exercises, compound meter, musical form, smooth and even playing in faster passages as well as an intensive look at major and minor keys including harmonising and improvisation.
The more advanced students become, the more they need to be able to learn on their own. In this seminar, you’ll get a lot of tips on how to help students achieve the independence they need in their continuing studies. You’ll also profit from our years of experience with this method and get some additional hands-on training on how to effectively use the innovative multi-media tools and supplementary literature from the Piano Adventures Curriculum.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance for Seminar III (Levels 5 and 6) at the end of the seminar.
